Not fancy, just fabulous!. We were originally going to eat in Annapolis Royal, but after reading TA reviews of The End of the Line and looking at their menu, we decided to go, seeing it as a more simple, less expensive option. We are SO happy we did! It's nothing fancy, but the quality and preparation of the food more than made up for that! We both had the Seafood Combo, with scallops and halibut as our two choices-my haddock was pan fried, my husband's was deep fried. Both of our meals were excellent! The braised scallops were cooked perfectly, and the haddock was a nice size piece, sweet and buttery, perfectly and simply seasoned. His nice crispy fries tasted as though they had been done in the freshest oil...no "old" flavor carry overs there. And my baked potato was perfect, with real butter served on the side. I marveled at how thin-sliced carrots could be cooked so perfectly, not at all mushy, but not crispy, either! Service was quick and friendly, and with a very good tip, our bill (including a draught beer for my husband) was $30 less than last night's meal at one of the top 5 rated restaurants in Annapolis Royal, which was good, but not great, and very, very slow!
